In 2026, Joseph-Maurice Weder continues the strong international trajectory established during the successful 2024 and 2025 seasons. The coming year features major debuts, international tours, and new artistic leadership responsibilities.
Highlights include a renewed South American tour in October with performances in Peru and Ecuador, among them concerts presented by the prestigious Sociedad Filarmónica de Lima, a debut with the Cairo Symphony Orchestra at the Cairo Opera House, appearances at Palermo Classica, and concerts in Berlin. Alongside his concert activity, Joseph-Maurice Weder will again serve as a jury member at the leading Swiss Youth Music Competition (Entrada in March, Final in May in Zurich). In addition, he assumes the role of Artistic Director of the long-established concert series RÉVÉLATIONS Élites musicales & jeunes maîtres, which for over 13 years has presented internationally acclaimed artists while actively supporting emerging talents. The series also presents prize-winner concerts in cooperation with the Swiss Youth Music Competition. The year 2026 thus builds clearly on the international engagements of 2024 and 2025, including performances in Madrid, Málaga, Berlin, Santiago de Chile, Cairo, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Zurich, and St. Moritz, marking further significant artistic milestones.
2026 setzt für Joseph-Maurice Weder die erfolgreiche internationale Entwicklung der vergangenen Jahre konsequent fort. Nach prägenden Konzertjahren 2024 und 2025 stehen im neuen Jahr hochkarätige Debüts, internationale Tourneen und neue künstlerische Leitungsaufgaben im Mittelpunkt. Zu den Höhepunkten zählen eine erneute Südamerika-Tournee im Oktober mit Konzerten in Peru und Ecuador, darunter Auftritte bei der renommierten Sociedad Filarmónica de Lima, das Debüt mit dem Cairo Symphony Orchestra im Cairo Opera House, Konzerte bei Palermo Classica sowie Auftritte in Berlin. Neben seiner solistischen Tätigkeit ist Joseph-Maurice Weder 2026 erneut Jurymitglied des bedeutenden Schweizer Jugendmusikwettbewerbs (Entrada im März, Finale im Mai in Zürich). Darüber hinaus übernimmt er die künstlerische Leitung der etablierten Konzertreihe RÉVÉLATIONS Élites musicales & jeunes maîtres, die seit über 13 Jahren international führende Künstler präsentiert und sich zugleich der gezielten Nachwuchsförderung widmet. Die Reihe realisiert unter anderem Preisträgerkonzerte in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schweizer Jugendmusikwettbewerb.
Das Jahr 2026 knüpft damit klar an die internationalen Auftritte der Jahre 2024 und 2025 in Städten wie Madrid, Málaga, Berlin, Santiago de Chile, Kairo, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Zürich und St. Moritz an und markiert weitere entscheidende künstlerische Meilensteine.

Swiss Ambassador's Award
The Swiss Ambassador‘s Award had been a music prize for more than two decades.
The winner was invited to go on a concert tour in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland) accompanied by the Swiss Ambassador.
One of many highlights is the concert at the world famous Wigmore Hall London, one of the best concert halls in the world.
Previous winners of the Swiss Ambassador‘s Award were also prizewinners at some of the most important music competitions around the globe such as Queen Elisabeth Competition in Bruxelles, Leeds International Piano Competition, ARD Competition in Munich and Geneva International Piano Competition.
Joseph-Maurice Weder had the great honor to receive the Swiss Ambassador‘s Award in 2013.
